My name is Eric Sorenson, a software developer in Madison, Wisconsin. I use JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 to create flexible, clean and intuitive web applications.

I work at Asthmapolis, a small startup in Madison. We create hardware and software that work together to help people gain better control of their asthma by understanding triggers, symptoms and trends among other members of the community.

To get involved in the local development community I’ve organized the Madison JavaScript User Group, also known as MadJS. We meet monthly to discuss best practices, techniques and popular libraries. Previous topics have included jQuery, Node.js, Backbone.js and ECMAScript 5.

My other interests include roasting coffee, digging for rare albums in giant piles of used music, and generative images and sound.
